Pricing
What it costs
Listing is free. A 10% commission applies only to bookings that come through himlocal.com, and nothing else is charged. Payments are 1.8% UPI + GST, settled to your own bank.

Common questions
Can I list my homestay online for free?
Yes. HimLocal lets homestays, guesthouses and hotels list their rooms, prices and photos free on himlocal.com. There is no signup fee or yearly charge for the listing; a 10% commission applies only when a traveller books your stay through himlocal.com.
How do guests pay for a booking?
Guests pay online when they book, and the money settles to your own bank account through Razorpay. HimLocal never holds your money. Each booking then appears in your bookings list with the guest’s name, dates, room and contact details, so you can get in touch before they arrive.
What do I need to list my stay?
Keep ready the stay’s name, address and map pin, three to eight good photos, your room types with rates, GST or PAN, your bank details, and your house rules and cancellation policy. You can start with part of it and finish the rest over a week.
Is HimLocal only for stays in the Himalayas?
No. HimLocal is an Indian company built in the Himalayas, and stays anywhere in India can list. Most travellers on himlocal.com today are planning trips to the mountains, so homestays and hotels in hill towns and trekking areas are found most often for now.
Does the free listing include a booking website?
No. The free listing puts your stay on himlocal.com with bookings from travellers there. Your own direct-booking website, front desk, housekeeping and reports are part of the paid property plan, which we are opening to more stays after a pilot with homestays this winter.
